Summer Outreach 2016 King of Kings

Summer Outreach
The K2 ministry started ministry in the UrbiVillas del Rey neighborhood by offering Bible studies in homes. As we grew larger in numbers, we put up a tent in the park and worshipped together in the open air. For the past several years, K2 has met in a rented building. Their hope and plan is to one day purchase property and build their own facility which will be used to glorify God and carry on the ministry. This ministry has been able, however, to hold onto a great legacy of outreach by offering a free children’s summer course.

Many businesses, schools, and clubs in Mexico offer a summer course. Businesses that offer foreign language teaching also offer a summer course, for a fee. Gymnastics, swimming, exercise, and martial arts clubs and instructors offer a summer course, for a fee. The King of Kings Christian Church also offers a summer course, minus the fee. Our summer course is free to the public. While other organizations teach their skills and knowledge for a fee, the King of Kings Christian Church offers our activities and teaching for free as a blessing to our community. As you may imagine, this makes an impact on the neighborhood.

Each year when we offer our summer course, we see new families join in with our church’s ministry. We see marriages find new hope because they sent their children to our summer course and were invited to check out our ministry. When they come to worship, they experience Christ and His family in a way they never have before. The Spirit of Jesus comes into their family and marriage and begins to work alongside them and they accept His help and begin to be transformed.

On July 18-22 we will do it again. Three churches will join together to offer an inspirational and enjoyable experience with Christ and His family through our summer course. Please pray for workers from the First Christian Church of Evansville, Indiana and from the Legacy Christian Church in Lakeland, Florida who will be traveling to Mexico to serve alongside the King of Kings Christian Church in Huehuetoca, Mexico as they serve the Urbivillas del Rey neighborhood.

Please help us lay the foundation of prayer so that this can be a successful outreach event in every way. Ask God to work through the representatives of these three churches to accomplish all He has planned for the families (especially the new ones) He will bring to us.

If you would like to give a gift that will help us carry out this ministry, we invite you to give generously and to pray for us frequently.

Thank you for taking the time to pray, give, and get involved with our ministry.
