Spring Break 2016 Hancock’s in Mexico

Greetings to you from your Mexico Hancock’s in Atizapan de Zaragoza, State of Mexico. If you recognize the above photo, it may be because you have become friends with us on Facebook.com and we posted this most recent family photo on Resurrection Sunday 2016. (Go to our Facebook page for more wildly fun and enjoyable posts and photos) We hope and pray that your family and your local congregation continue to grow closer to our God and to grow beyond your current borders so that the Kingdom of God expands.

New DBS Groups
Thank you for praying for new groups with us. As mentioned in an earlier post, the goal is to start 3 new groups in the coming months. The first solid group is well underway and into their third session. AND they have two participants who have asked to be immersed in Christ. This is very exciting news and we thank you for your prayers and partnership to make this dream a reality. There are so many more families here in Mexico who need the hope that comes from God. A discovery Bible Study is one of the methods we employ so that families and groups can experience and discover the God of the Bible. Please keep praying. It is working and God is blessing.

Spring Break Youth Camp
Three Christian Churches in Mexico came together with their youth during Spring Break 2016 for a great 4 days of camp. Our teammates Greg and Vicki Syverson, together with the Nueva Vida (New Life) Christian Church hosted the camp and put forth a tremendous effort to plan and program an awesome event that changed young lives for good. There are several other missionaries who helped make the event a huge success and it is a privilege to team up with God’s servants. They are: Argentinian missionary Juan David Ramirez, Mexican missionaries: David Espinoza, Citlali Molina, Zhárife López, Emanuel Bravo, Yerely Reyes, American missionaries Amanda Morales and Amelia Burkhalter, CMF intern Martin Gutierrez, Chilean missionary Felipe Marabolí and his wife Narubi, as well as youth from their congregation in Tierra Blanca, Veracruz, Mexico. Job Lara from Lindsay, California came for the week to be the keynote speaker. What an encouraging 4 days.

In addition to the adults mentioned above, there were 43 youth including our Corbin Hancock who had a wonderful time too. Oh, I can’t leave out Annie Villegas who coordinated all of our Kitchen needs. We ate well and played hard. Bible teachings included themes “God is doing a new thing.” “Identity in Christ.” “Gaining ground, claiming spiritual territory.” and “Spiritual health/Spiritual gifts.”

We hope you enjoy some of the pictures included below.

And finally below we have two short but fun video links. One is of a group learning choreography to a fast-paced praise song. Too much fun! The other includes brief footage of game time – American Football!
