It’s March 2016 Already?

Spring is ready to spring onto the scene and the Hancock’s are doing great. After all, it is MARCH! The young Hancock’s are getting ready for their annual spring camp for school. MCCA sends the elementary students to Puebla for a Spiritual Emphasis Camp from Saturday to Tuesday. The secondary and high school students will go from Tuesday to Saturday. And it all begins Saturday March 5. Actually Elizabeth is going for the whole week because she is serving as a junior counselor for the elementary and as a participant for the second half of the week. Please pray for all of the students to be safe and enjoy the time away from home and regular school. Some of the students will receive so much more of an exposure to real faith in action than they have never seen before. I am praying that they all come back renewed and inspired. Allow me to say, “Thank you” in advance for your prayers for Spring Spiritual Emphasis Camp.

Teri is attending the annual Ladies Retreat put on by the AR Christian Churches (Christian Churches in Pachuca, Atizapan, Huehuetoca, Puebla, and Mexico City) Please pray for this special event as well. They are going to Tecolutla, Veracruz. The location for the Ladies Retreat is on Mexico’s Emerald Coast. I estimate that there will be 50 women (or perhaps more). It is a Friday through Sunday event March 4-6.

From Casey: My immediate goals in ministry are to start 3 new DBS groups in the coming months A DBS (Discovery Bible Study) group is not that different from what we have been doing in our ministry since we started the King of Kings church years ago. However there will be a slight adjustment in methodology that will help us to better multiply our effectiveness in ministry. The goal remains the same, to transform our community. What we want to do is to help people discover and begin following Christ. That is real transformation! I am currently following up with two men who live in Huehuetoca to confirm a start date for each of their groups. Both of these men have grown and become more involved in King of Kings ministry in recent months. Please pray for fruitfulness and faithfulness.

My prayer and hope is that in the coming months these two newly formed groups will spawn other groups in the greater Huehuetoca area. We will then unite several groups for a large group celebration once a month and they will eventually form a new church. None of this will happen without prayer and effort. Will you join us in asking for God’s presence, protection, and provision in this endeavor?

Your missionary to Mexico,
Casey Hancock
