The purpose of this update is to let you know how effective your prayers have been for us as we help advance in the kingdom of God against the spiritual forces of darkness here in this land.
From left to right: Sarah, Jake, and Erin our 2015 REACH Interns
In early June, seven REACH interns arrived to work with and learn from CMF missionaries and ministries in Mexico. Jake, Sarah, and Erin are the three who are living in URBI and are working most closely with the King of Kings Christian Church. They have already begun to be a blessing as they participate in our weekly Bible studies, teach English Clubs, help make new contacts, and practice their Spanish-speaking skills. Their presence here is a huge encouragement to our church in Huehuetoca who gets a front row seat to see their excitement about the mission of the church. We are all inspired by their willingness to serve Jesus hardcore during their summer break from the university. Please join me in praying for their safety and success this summer. Jake, Sarah, and Erin will be here in Mexico almost until the end of July.
Summer Work Groups:
For the summer of 2015 we have two U.S. work groups as well as one family friend coming to be involved with us in Mexico. In May (you are right it is technically spring),our friend and brother in Christ from Cincinnati, Ohio, Art came to help paint, joined the praise team for a Sunday, and helped with English practice. We thank God for our prayer warriors, of which Art is a great one. We express our thanks to Art and to the Whitewater Crossing Christian Church for your partnership with us.
While this was not the first time our partner church from Evansville, Indiana has sent a work group to Mexico, it is the first group from the congregation that Casey grew up in to come to work in the Mexico City Metropolitan area. The Hancock’s would like to thank the First Christian Church for sending Lynn, Shannon, Linda, Shirley, Forrest, Patrick, and Zelfea. We thank you for all your hard work and for your friendship in Christ. In past years FCC has sent groups who worked in Puebla with the “other Hancock’s” in the Mosaico Christian Community.

Meeting new people and growing close to the global body of Christ is a priceless experience.
The next work group we will host comes from our partner church in Lakeland, Florida in July. The Legacy Christian Church has been our prayer partner for several years, but in 2015 has increased their commitment to helping us start new churches here in Mexico by also making a financial pledge to CMF and the Hancock’s. Praise God and thank you, Legacy Christian! They are also sending a group of four of their members to help in our annual summer outreach event in the park where the King of Kings Christian Church (K2) began meeting in public about 6 years ago. The K2 church has been renting a building for the past 3 and a half years just down the street from the entrance to URBI but have continued to do VBS (EBV in Spanish) in the URBI park because several of our families have begun to be involved at K2 because of it.
Please pray with us for the safety and success of our work groups as well as the growth of our churches here in Mexico. Please pray with us also for workers for God’s harvest field (Luke 10:2)
If you or your church would like to bring a group to work with us in Mexico, please contact us to schedule your trip.
May God be blessed by our work for Him.
